Refund Policy

1. Overview

At ST Budget Sound, we strive to provide exceptional DJ and entertainment services for your events. This Refund Policy outlines our procedures regarding deposits, payments, cancellations, and refunds. Please read this policy carefully before booking our services.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

2.1 Deposit Requirement

To secure your event date, we require a deposit of 50% of the total service fee. This deposit is non-refundable except as outlined in the cancellation policy below.

2.2 Final Payment

The remaining balance (50% of the total service fee) is due one week (7 days) before your event date. Failure to make the final payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cancellation by Client

If you need to cancel your booking, the following terms apply:

  • More than 30 days before event: Full refund of deposit, minus a $50 administrative fee
  • 14-30 days before event: 50% refund of deposit
  • 7-13 days before event: 25% refund of deposit
  • Less than 7 days before event: No refund of deposit

If the final payment has been made, refunds will be calculated based on the cancellation timeline above. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

3.2 Date Changes/Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your event date, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your new date, subject to availability. If we are available for the new date:

  • More than 30 days notice: No additional fee
  • 14-30 days notice: $25 rescheduling fee may apply
  • Less than 14 days notice: $50 rescheduling fee may apply

If we are unable to accommodate your new date, our standard cancellation policy will apply.

3.3 Cancellation by ST Budget Sound

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking (due to illness, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances), we will:

  • Provide a full refund of all payments made
  • Make every effort to find a suitable replacement service provider
  • Provide notice as soon as possible

4. Service Modifications

If you wish to modify your service package (add or remove services) after booking:

  • Additions can be made up to 7 days before the event, subject to availability and additional charges
  • Removals must be requested at least 14 days before the event to be eligible for a partial refund of the removed services
  • Service modifications within 7 days of the event may not be possible and are subject to availability

5. Event Day Issues

5.1 Service Quality

If you are not satisfied with the quality of service provided on the day of your event, please bring your concerns to our attention immediately so we can address them. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction and will work with you to resolve any issues.

Requests for refunds or partial refunds based on service quality must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the event completion. We will review each case individually and may offer a partial refund or credit toward future services at our discretion.

5.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations or delays due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions or mandates
  • Venue closures or restrictions
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Acts of terrorism or war
  • Pandemics or health emergencies

In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule your event. If rescheduling is not possible, a credit toward future services may be offered in lieu of a refund.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution. Refunds will appear as a credit to your account within 1-2 billing cycles.

7. Disputes

If you have a dispute regarding a refund or cancellation, please contact us first to discuss the matter. We are committed to working with our clients to reach a fair resolution. If we are unable to resolve the dispute, you may have rights under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
